Leave Your Limits Behind Once And For All
March 11, 2012

Many times, we think of things in terms of “can” and “can’t.” We let others convince us of what we can and can’t do. Sometimes, we’re the ones convincing ourselves. These thoughts and ideas are what limit us. When we think in terms of what we can and can’t do, we’re not opening ourselves up to all the possibilities out there and living life to it’s fullest potential. When we change our attitudes, we open ourselves up to an entirely new way of living, one in which anything is possible.
So how do begin to live life without limits? It’s difficult, considering that sometimes our limits come from our environment rather than ourselves. Changing how you listen to people’s input on any given situation is crucial. Remember that while everyone has the right to their opinion, a right which must be respected, no one can tell you what you are and are not capable of. If we accept these thoughts, whether they are thoughts of our own or thoughts of others, we won’t even try to achieve our goals and live life as it should be lived.
An important step to begin with is identifying your limits. What do you believe you can’t do? What’s holding you back? If you really consider it, what are the things you believe you can’t do? There are no physical roadblocks on the way to happiness; only mental ones. If we believe in our limits to the point that we allow them to constrain us, we are living our lives in fear of “what if,” rather than living for “what can.” Immersing ourselves in the belief that limits are merely mental rather than real and something to be feared is a step in the right direction.
