
FEAR. It is one of the strongest emotions that we can experience. Ever heard of the expression “paralyzed by fear”? That’s what literally happens when fear takes over in your life. Your physical body clams up and your mind takes over like a wild monkey. Your thoughts run untamed and you are stuck until either fear releases you or you get to a place where you are able to ignore them.
This place of blissful ignorance is also the reason why fear is one of the most denied feelings. In what aspect do we not embrace that we’re experiencing fear? Here are some examples of what women tell themselves instead of becoming aware of their fear:
Denial of fear self talk:
I don’t have time.
I don’t have money.
I’m not smart enough.
It’s too much of a self sacrifice.
It’s just a pipedream – nothing else.
Nobody has ever done this – how can I?
Or the opposite: Someone is already doing this – I can’t.
How could I make a living out of this?
I’m just one person. What can I truly accomplish?
